Moments of Happines: My Hobby

My top hobby is definitely shopping. However, since shopping requires money, I often go window shopping instead when I’m on a budget. I enjoy browsing through stores and adding items to my wishlist so that when I do have money, I already know what I "need" to buy. Shopping is my ultimate stress reliever, though seeing a low bank balance afterward can bring the stress right back! Still, I always remind myself, "It's better to regret buying than to regret not buying."

For me, shopping isn’t just about visiting malls. Since my hometown, Mukah, doesn’t have big shopping malls, I often find joy in grocery shopping—picking up snacks, ingredients, and anything I feel like eating. I also love bakery shopping, indulging in fresh pastries and treats.

Here in Selangor, my go-to shopping destinations are IOI City Mall Putrajaya and One Utama Shopping Mall, as they are more budget-friendly compared to high-end places like Pavilion Bukit Bintang. Shopping isn’t just about spending money—it also helps me stay active. I usually walk more than 15,000 steps while shopping, so it doubles as an unexpected workout! I prefer shopping alone because it gives me the freedom to take my time, but sometimes I like having a friend along to help justify my choices before making a purchase.

Apart from shopping, I also enjoy playing sports, especially badminton. It’s a great way to break a sweat and spend quality time with my friends. I prefer playing on proper badminton courts rather than outdoor spaces like in front of my house or college, as I dislike dealing with wind disturbances. Playing in a controlled environment allows me to focus better and enjoy the game without interruptions.

My Most Visited Spots in University

At university, besides spending time at my faculty and other college cafés, one of the places I frequently visit is the library—Perpustakaan Tun Seri Lanang (PTSL). I go there whenever I need to stay focused and motivated during study sessions. Seeing so many students studying makes me feel guilty if I’m not being productive, which helps keep me on track. The library provides a conducive environment, not just for studying but also for completing assignments, group discussions, and even a quiet place to gather my thoughts. Sometimes, I like to sit by the windows to enjoy the view while studying, as it helps me feel more relaxed. I also often visit PUSANIKA to buy groceries at 99 Speedmart. While there, I usually grab a drink from Zus Coffee or TeaLive to refresh myself before heading back to my college or faculty. PUSANIKA is also a convenient place to run errands, whether it’s getting stationery, printing documents, or just taking a short break in between my schedule. Every Friday, t...

My Education Journey

21 years of life have been quite challenging, especially in academics. I don’t come from a high-level educational background, but with the encouragement and support of my parents, I am now pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Honors at one of Malaysia’s top universities— National University of Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi, Selangor. Primary School: Where It All Began My educational journey started at SK Datuk Awang Udin, Mukah, Sarawak , where I attended pre-school and primary school from Year 1 to Year 6 . This was the place where I discovered my potential , particularly in leadership and talent development . I was appointed as Vice President of the School Prefects in Year 5 and served as Class Monitor for four consecutive years from Year 1 to Year 4 . Academically, I sat for the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and achieved 2As and 4Bs . Honestly, it was a bit disappointing because I had scored 5As and 1B in my trial exams, but it was a learning exp...

Smashing Through the Day: My Badminton Experience

Hi everyone, Today, I want to share how I usually spend my badminton sessions! I typically play with my Form 6 friends at the Badminton Court Majlis Daerah Dalat dan Mukah (MDDM) . We prefer playing on weekdays when we don’t have too much homework piling up. Most of the time, we play in pairs since singles can be quite exhausting. To make things more exciting, we always turn it into a mini-tournament , but in a fun and casual way—nothing too serious! After an intense game, we usually grab some food at our favorite spots or, if we’re in the mood to relax, head straight to Pantai Kala Dana Mukah to enjoy the beach vibes. Badminton isn’t just a sport for us—it’s a way to stay active, bond with friends, and de-stress from studies . What’s your go-to activity to unwind? Let me know!
